I’ve so grateful that I was given the opportunity to be the lead stylist for my college’s fashion show held by the NAACP. This fashion show has been in the making for the past 3 months and it’s crazy to think how time really flew. Just the other night, all our hard work was put to the test and I couldn’t have been happier with the outcome.
For the past 3 months, I’ve filmed clips of the whole process it took for us to put this show together; from the drawing board down to the last details. I want to put this video together to document my achievements and to share with everyone the hard work I’ve put in. So make sure you stayed tuned for my video!
The dress code for everyone putting the fashion show together was black. Since the color back is such an effortless color to wear, I literally picked out my outfit the morning of the fashion show. I decided to wear a simple black shift dress and pair my awesome, new bombers jacket on top to add some color to the outfit. If you plan on getting this jacket, I 100% recommend. It’s lightweight and so comfortable to wear. I’m so in love that I’m even thinking about picking up the pink version as well. Since I knew I was going to be on my feet all day, I paired my outfit with my trusty black booties. These booties are seriously my go-to shoes. They’re scuffed and dirty but they’re so durable and easy to walk in, I can’t get rid of them. Sadly, I got these booties last winter so I’m not sure they’ll be easy to find. Lastly, I tied my whole outfit together with my tiered gold chain necklace. Something about a good statement necklace that pulls any outfit together.
