COLLEGE DISCOUNT

I don’t care what anyone says, being in college isn’t always easy. College can consist of endless hours of studying and completing assignments and it can really get to be a handful. With all the hard work we put into our education, can’t we have a little reward for it? Yes, we definitely can with an online site called UNiDAYS. This is a website basically rewarding students for their education by giving them permanent discounts to select online stores like ASOS, Anne Taylor, Karma Loop, Levis, etc. These stores change all the time and new stores are also added as well! It’s completely free and all you have to do is click the link I provided below and register.

They’ll first ask you to create a username and password with your personal email and whatever password you decide to make. Then to verify that you are a college student, they’ll ask you to provide your college email and to select the current university that you attend. It’s seriously that simple! UNiDAYS will send you a verification email to your student email for you to click and then you’re set for all your discounts! With every selected store, you will have your personal discount code that is reusable for every time you place an order at that online store. Each store gives you a certain percentage off like 10% or even 25% every single time you order online. How cool is that? I absolutely love this website because they’re basically rewarding you for your hard work in school. Plus, saving money will always be a good thing as well! So sign up and discover all the different stores you can get a discount code to!

DELICIOUS DATE MILK

My current obsession at the moment is Date Milk. Sounds weird right? But wait till you try it because you’ll become obsessed as well! This homemade drink is seriously the best “healthy” alternative to satisfy that sweet tooth. Dates have so many benefits and nutritional value to them. They supposedly help with relief from constipation, heart problems, abdominal cancer, and they are good for gaining weight. Dates are also a good source of different minerals like calcium, iron, sodium, potassium, magnesium and zinc. They contain vitamins like thiamin, riboflavin, niacin, folate, vitamin A and vitamin K and they are a good source of energy, sugar and fiber.

So here’s how you make this amazing drink!
(these are my measurements for a two person serving or a large one person serving)

1.      Take about 5 dates, remove the seeds and throw them into your blender.
2.      Take a little bit of almond milk and put just enough to submerge the dates. You really don’t need to use almond milk if you don’t want to or have it but I think it adds a slight creaminess to the drink.
3.      Next, fill the rest of the blender with water and then blend.
4.      After you’re done blending the drink, you can run it through a strainer like I do if you want your drink to be a little smoother (you honestly don’t have to).
5.      Then just add some ice cubes and enjoy!

SIMPLE WITH A POP

I love wearing outfits that are simple and plain. I think those kinds of outfits are the best because they’re easy to throw on while also looking decent and put together to be out in public. I wore a simple black bodysuit, which sometimes I think I live in with how many times it comes in handy for an outfit. I hate the feeling of tucking in a tank top and having to constantly pull it down under your shorts or skirt because it’s riding up and makes the “crinkled” look (maybe that’s just me). Along with the body suit, I wore my Holy Grail distressed denim shorts that I love! It’s from PacSun’s Retro Gold Vintage line. Basically, they go thrifting for items, revamp them, and sell them again. So if you buy a pair of shorts from their vintage line, no two pairs of shorts will be the same. Each short will fit different and that’s why I love these shorts so much. They honestly fit like a glove on me! I decided to add a skinny brown braided belt to my outfit since my top and shoes were both black, the belt brought out a break of color to go together with the kimono. Some people think that wearing black and brown is an absolutely no-no but to me, I love those two colors together. I absolutely do not see how they don’t match because I think they pair perfectly. On my feet, I decided to wear my beloved black booties with a heel cut out. I fell in love with these shoes last year and I’m still not over them yet. They go with any outfit and I love the simple look of them.
