LOUIS IS FOREVER...

As they say, Louis is forever right? As a designer brand, I always thought that Louis Vuitton carried such beautiful pieces. Varying from their handbags and luggage to their shoes and small leather goods, the structure and quality of their products are always so timeless.

Recently, my boyfriend and I spontaneously decided to go on a vacation together. With how stressed out I been with my summer classes and how busy my boyfriend has been with work, we decided to drop everything and to just go somewhere that we both loved. So a week and a half later, we packed up our things and left reality for 4 days.

Prior to our vacation or even knowing that we were going to go on a vacation, I put some money aside to eventually treat myself to something nice. I knew that the money I was saving up was going to go towards a purse, but as far as style and brand goes, I was waiting till I absolutely fell in love with one. To me, when spending a substantial amount of money on a purse, I wanted something that is always going to be classic and timeless. It was just never in my nature to spend so much money on a purse that was trendy for one season. So after finding out that we were going on vacation, I thought this would be the perfect time to use the money I been saving up on a bag that I would fall in love with.

On our first full day of vacation, we woke up, skipped breakfast, and went straight to the mall because I was too excited to look for my new handbag. Our first stop in the mall was to the handbag section in Nordstroms. Surprisingly when I walked in, a sales associate approached me and knew the exact handbag I was looking for without me speaking a word. She handed me the Celine Trio mini in this beautiful baby sky-blue color that immediately made my heart drop. With my boyfriend’s approval, I was about to impulse-buy the bag but something told me that I needed to think about it first. We left Nordstroms and did a little shopping until we ended up in Louis Vuitton. When I walked up to the counter, my eye was instantly pulled to a certain purse. The minute I tried it on and couldn’t take it off, I knew I found the right purse for me.

Finally, the crossbody/clutch that my heart fell in love with is called the Favorite MM and I decided to get it in the Damier Azur canvas. Even though I was worried about how easily ruined the print can get, the Damier Azur canvas comes off so pure and bright, there was no way I could resist. The bag has gold hardware and a gold plaque that I find complements the canvas of the purse beautifully. The dimensions of the bag are 11.0 x 6.7 x 1.6 inches (width x height x depth). It’s definitely the perfect crossbody size for me. The Favorite MM is a little bigger than my Rebecca Minkoff, so it can fit more of my belongings but also small enough to limit myself on only carrying my essentials. Something else that really sold me about this bag is that it has multicarrier functions. It has an attachable strap to be carried as a crossbody/shoulder bag and also a short gold chain that gives you the function to be held as a clutch.

As pictured above, the bag comes included with a detachable strap so that anyone can have the option of wearing it how they prefer. The one thing that makes me nervous about this bag is that the strap is made out of vachetta leather (aka natural cowhide leather). With any purse that had vachetta leather, when it’s brand new, it will be very delicate and sensitive to scratches. Over time as the bag gets exposed to sun, the leather will start to go through a tanning process. The leather will eventually get a little tanner but on the plus side, it will be less sensitive.

I absolutely love this bag and I'm so happy that I went with this instead of the Celine Trio mini. The style is classic and I love wearing this bag out because it adds a neutral touch to my outfits. I'm so happy I found my timeless purse; it’s small, simple, and definitely practical.
